Shela Ellis

Shela Lyn Ellis,71 , of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Shela was born in Akron, Ohio on September 17, 1943 to the late Otis and Alice Lambert. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1962. Shela was a loving mother and in her free time, she enjoyed painting, floral designing, baking and decorating cakes, doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. In addition to her parents, Shela was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert; brother, Alfred Lambert; sister-in-law Larie Lambert; sister-in-law, Rita (Charles) Mckee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Joan Ellis. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Ellis and son, Darrin (Jennifer) Ellis; grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Ellis; brother, Otis Lambert and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on, Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, with additional calling hours on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 1pm to 2pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm.
