Sharron Elizabeth Wakefield

Sharron Elizabeth Wakefield, 80, of Akron, passed away on March 31, 2026. She was born on December 20, 1945 to the late Arden and Geraldine {Donnelly} Gardner.

In addition to her parents, Sharron was preceded in death by her brother James Gardner and sister Toni Cole.

Sharron is survived by her loving sons Donald (Lorrie), Michael (Vicki) Wakefield and Bradley (Meridith) Wakefield; grandchildren Melanie, Ashley, Brittany (Ben), Brooke (Brandon), Brandy (Devonn); great-grandchildren Isaac, Evelyn, Wesley, Brady; brother Glenn Gardner.

Sharron loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always looking for fun, and to make the people around her smile.

Family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Tuesday, April 7th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. There will be no formal service, and a private graveside will be held for Sharron's family at Rose Hill Burial Park, where Sharron will be laid to rest next to Sam.
