Sharon L. Talley-Davis

Sharon Talley, age 64, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at Akron General Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Wurzug, Germany, Sharon spent her childhood moving across the country as part of a proud military family. Those early experiences helped shape her strength, adaptability, and compassion—qualities she carried throughout her life. She eventually made Akron her home, where she built a life centered on love, service, and family.

Sharon honorably served in the United States Army for 20 years, dedicating herself to the values of duty and integrity. After retiring from military service, she continued her commitment to helping others through her work with Meggit and Schneller located in Akron Ohio. Her kindness, reliability, and quiet leadership left a lasting impression on everyone she worked with.

Above all, Sharon loved her family deeply. She found joy in time spent together—sharing stories, laughter, and moments of comfort. Her warmth, strength, and caring spirit were felt by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Talley III (Nicky), and her father Charles B Talley Jr.

Sharon is survived by her beloved son, Anthony Davis; her mother, Annie Talley; her brothers, Michael (Conetta) of Texas, Kevin (Angela) of South Carolina, Wayne (Robin) of North Carolina, and Bruce Talley of Akron; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Sharon’s life was one of courage, compassion, and love. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to know her.

Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. The repast will follow at the Event Center, 196 Voris St., Akron from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
