Virginia Schrock, born June 30, 1929, passed away on June 23, 2014.
She graduated from Greensburg High School and worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, retiring in 1987 after 28 years of service. Virginia was a devoted wife and loving mother.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert T. Schrock. Together they raised 3 children, Tom (Donna) Schrock, Gary (Laurie) Schrock, and Linda (Larry) Caldwell. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital for their compassionate care during her final days.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. A graveside service will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd., Akron, with Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating. For those who wish, memorials may be made in Virginia's name to Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O. Box 547 Akron, OH 44398-6110 or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5700 Brecksville Rd. Independence, OH 44131.
