Sandra S. Nichols
Sandra S. Nichols, 67, of Akron, was called home by our Lord on May 31, 2015. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord and lived her life with a deep love of our Savior Jesus Christ . Sandra was born on July 27, 1947 in Clay, West Virginia to the late Ralph and Ivy Williams.
She devoted her life to her family and loved all children. Sandra was a member of Community Baptist Temple. She loved Pastor Mark O'Donnell, his wife, Sheri, and the entire church staff. She enjoyed working with the Young At Hearts Group at the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Williams; and sisters, Marie Greathouse, Ruth Greathouse, and Jean Payne. Sandra will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 48 years, Glen; son, Christian Nichols; grandchildren, Kiara Lego and Tessa Nichols; brother, Bobby (Janet) Williams; sisters, Agnes (Andrew) Ferebee, Oval Caton, Dottie (Robert) Hanshaw, Avis Legg, Marylou (James) Jarrell, and Catherine Knotts; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held TODAY, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 1:00 with visitation for one hour prior at Fairview Baptist Temple, 2294 Main St., Clay, WV, with Pastor Mark O'Donnell and Pastor J. Bret Wiley officiating. Interment at Nichols Family Cemetery.
