Sadie Agnes Smarr, age 89 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 8:00 AM at the Heather Knoll Nursing Home.
She was born on June 2, 1926 in Elmira, WV, the daughter of the late Letcher and Ina Ethel White See.
Mrs. Smarr was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, James ( Esta) Smarr of Akron, and her daughter, Agnes Lupo of Long Island, NY; her grandchildren, Spencer and Austin Smarr both of Akron, Anthony (Alexis) Lupo, Jr. of Mogadore and Joseph (Denise) Lupo, Sr. of Long Island, NY; great-grandchildren, Joseph Lupo, Jr. and Stephanie Lupo both of Long Island, NY, Anthony Lupo, III, Ryan Lupo, and Michael Lupo all of Mogadore, Ohio. Her siblings also survive, Melvin See of Akron, and Dale (Cathy) See of Akron, and Effie McCumbers of Akron.
Other than her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Smarr, Jr.; her son, Russell T. Smarr; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron at 1:00 PM, on Friday, April 29, 2016 where family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Sadie will be buried next to her husband and her son in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
