Russell E. Croghan, 59 , of Akron, was welcomed by his Lord and Savior into heaven April 11, 2014. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 27, 1954. Russ reformed his life through his church and his involvement with AA. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, devoted grandfather and a good friend to many.
Russell was preceded in death by his Father, Ralph Croghan. He is survived by Son, Petty Officer First Class Phillip A. Croghan and his mother, Valerie Croghan; Mother, Jacquelyn (Croghan) Toney; Sister, Paula Croghan; Granddaughter, Navielle Croghan; Special Aunts, Kathie Metz and Dee Martyn; Special Friends, Baxter, George, Jim and Carl.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Community of Christ Church, 834 Grant St, Akron, OH 44311 with Rev. Patrick J. Barrett officiating.
