Ruby M. Bishop
Ruby M. Bishop, 84, of Akron, passed away June 3, 2014. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on January 23, 1930 to the late Horace and Mary Bishop. Ruby enjoyed participating in the activities at the William Presser Towers where she lived. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elvin L. Bishop; brothers, George, Robert, David, and Charles Bishop; and sister, Pauline DeLong. She will be deeply missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill W. and Carol L. Bishop; grandson, William Bishop; granddaughter, Karen (Justin) Crissman; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, Katelyn, and Natalee Crissman; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. followed by a 4:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A committal service and burial will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, Tennessee.
