Ruby Carter

Ruby J. Carter, 80, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2014. She was born in Akron, on August 16, 1934 to the late Austin and Edna Thompson. In her lifetime, Ruby became a loving mother and grandmother, who always cared for the needs of her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by two of her children; Joyce and Larry. She will be dearly missed by her children; Ann, Laura and Drew Sr., Clarence, Jeremy and James, brother, Kenneth, sisters, Elenore and Dolores, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6 pm to 8 pm at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, OH 44305. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2014 with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
