Roy L. Pugh, 77, of Green, Ohio was promoted to Glory on June 15, 2025 at home after a short battle with liver cancer. A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday June 21st, at Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church, 1811 Brittain Road, Akron OH 44310. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am. The service will begin at 11:00 with luncheon immediately following. Cremation has taken place.
Born in Tallmadge, Ohio, Roy was a facilities engineer at Twinsburg Stamping Plant for 32 years. He was a faithful and dedicated church member. He liked computers, fishing, war planes, traveling, photography and cooking. Roy loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Pugh, and son, Roy L. Pugh, II.
Roy is survived by his wife, Betsy. Also by his children: Robert (Wendy), Julie (John), LeAnne and Nancy (Alan). Grandchildren: John (Tiffany), Roy III, Eddie (Brooke), Melody (Matthew), Joey, Austin, Jimmy (McKenna), Aubree, Nick, Connor, Deon, Elizabeth, Violet, and Colin. Great-grandchildren: Genevieve, Melanie, Jonah, Willow, Piper, Annabelle, Elijah, Madison, Evelyn and Rylee. Jim Crookston (Cindy) was a great encourager, prayer warrior and brother to Roy. Roy's buddies were Tim Davis, Dave Houpt, Tyler Luzius, Nancy Hashman, and Paul Zeffer.
