Roy M. Avery

Roy M. Avery, 68, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on June 29, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Avery, and his sister, Denise Avery.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Diane Avery; his sons, Adam (Janelle), Andrew (Brittany), Alex Avery, and Michael Storm; and his daughter, Karla (Sam) Oliver. He was a proud grandfather to Hailey, Ryker, Eden, Kailyn, Andrew, Peyton, Dylan, Bryson, Molly, Monroe, Jared (Zoe), Jaden, and Samiya.

Roy dedicated many years to serving the City of Akron in the Water Pollution Control division and was known for his strong work ethic. He was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State, and Cleveland Indians. He also contributed many years positively to Alcoholics Anonymous and enjoyed spending time fishing.

Private services will be held as per the family’s wishes.
