Roy Francis Brumley, Jr., 66, of Akron, passed away on May 8, 2026 at Akron City Hospice surrounded by family.
He was born on July 26, 1959 to Roy and Cary (Johnson) Brumley at Akron, OH.
Roy served in the United States Army as a Sergeant for 14 years, serving as a Combat Engineer.
Roy worked as a Plastic Injection Mold Designer.
On May 10, 1980, he married Lynn Brumley. Roy and Lynn lived in Akron, Ohio.
He was a beloved coach for the Goodyear Heights Hotstove Baseball for many years.
Roy is survived by his loving Wife of 46 years, Lynn; children, Tonya Brumley-Cook, James (Heather) Brumley; several grandchildren; one brother and one-half brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Brumley, Sr. and Cary Cole; daughter, Suzanna Brumley; and sister, Kathy Curtz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, 10:30am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio 44305, with a funeral service at 11:30am with Pastor John Burton officiating. Interment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:45pm in Seville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Disabled Veterans Association of America.
