Rosetta Griffin

Rosetta "June" Griffin, 78, of Tallmadge, passed away February 25, 2015. Rosetta was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 1, 1936 to the late Chester and Jessie Smith. June retired from Acme Click after 28 years. She was a member for many years of the Southeast Church of The Nazarene. In her free time, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and sewing. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her sister, Delila Bishop. She is survived by her husband, Virgil " V.J" Griffin of 63 years; daughter, Judy (Harry) Nicholson and son, Rodney Griffin; brother, Chester "CM" (Gail) Smith; four grandchildren, Tina (Brian) Chase, Travis (Ginger) Nicholson, Shawn (Rachel) Nicholson and RJ Griffin (Megan Ball); 14 great grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler, Jordan, Nathan, Brodric, Micaela, Gavin, Cassandra, Elena, Angus, Alexander, Jack, William and Parker. Family and friends may call on, Monday, March 2, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 12:00 pm.
