Rosemary Francis

Rosemary (Posie) Francis (Tetzel), 74, of Akron, passed away on February 25, 2026. She was born on June 24, 1951 to the late Mike and Hazel Tetzel.

Rosemary enjoyed a simple life, full of family gatherings. Staying up on current events, fashion and design was also something she loved. Music was near and dear, loving a wide range of genres. She especially loved her role as Grandma and took great pride in her grandchildren's accomplishments. She was always their biggest cheerleader at sporting events and other activities.

Although she preferred staying close to home, Rosemary had fond memories of trips to the family cabin in Pennsylvania and family visits to Florida.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Peg and Bob Gromofsky; sister, Marki Tetzel; brother, Mike Tetzel; and husband, Thomas Stout.

Rosemary will be dearly missed by her loving significant other of 29 years, Don Trego; children, Jason Francis and Dana (Jay) Anker; stepchildren, Josh (Theresa) Trego and Joe (Lauren) Trego; grandchildren, Karli Anker, Kyle Anker, Danny Trego, Molly Trego, and Beau Trego; and numerous special cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rosemary also leaves her best friend and beloved Bernedoodle, Luna.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 10 am - 12 noon, immediately followed by a 12 noon funeral service. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
