Rose Tsoufiou

Rose Tsoufiou, 86, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2016 at Alter Care of Hartville. She was born in Akron, OH on August 6, 1930 to parents Joseph and Rose Prunesti. Rose was a homemaker who loved to bake and cook for family and friends. She went to St. Mary's High School in Akron and worked for Brownie's Restaurant.

Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, George; and brother, Anthony. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Tom) Smith, Arlene (Greg) Smith, Lisa (Ed) Hershberger; grandchildren, Hillary and Sarah Kait Smith, Joshua and Zachariah (Brooke) Hershberger; brother, Dominic (Betty); sisters, Catherine (Ralph), Iola (Leonard), and Maria.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 3-5 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Burial will take place at a later date in West Palm Beach, FL. The family would like to thank the staff at Alter Care of Hartville for the special care she received.
