Rosalie Aldene Ukrainiec

June 25, 1944 — May 12, 2025

Jacob (age 82) and Rosalie (age 80) Ukrainiec, beloved anchors of their family and community, went home to be with the Lord hand in hand, just minutes apart, on May 11th and May 12th, 2025, a testament to the profound love they shared throughout their lives. Both Jacob, born on January 23, 1943 in Buffalo, New York and Rosalie, born in her home on June 25, 1944 in Akron, Ohio. They lived their lives with unwavering dedication, embodying the values of hard work and selflessness that resonated deeply with all who knew them.

Devoted to their family Jacob and Rosalie found joy in every gathering, especially during the holidays when the warmth of family filled their home. Their faith-filled love was evident to all, enriched by countless memories born from fishing trips and camping excursions, experiences that solidified their connection not only to each other but also to nature and the great outdoors they cherished.

They were lifelong faithful members of Grace Baptist Church where Jacob was a long time usher and Rosalie was a kitchen angel and participated in the Ladies’ Bible Study.

They leave behind a legacy of love and resilience, embodied in their adoring daughters: Deanne (Steve) Lisowski, Donna (Ben) Oberlin, and Denise (Dennis) Nutt. Each daughter carries forward the values instilled in them by their parents, ensuring that Jacob and Rosalie’s spirit continues to thrive. The couple took immense pride in their grandchildren, Charles Farlin Jr., Christopher (Kristine) Farlin, Andrew (Elizabeth) Hughes, Kristin Hughes, Chelsea Delaney, Timothy (Kristina) Nutt, Tiffany (Deven) Legg and Steven (Abigail) Nutt who were often seen as reflections of their enduring love. Their great-grandchildren, along with their siblings Diane Ukrainiec, Nicholas (James O'Keefe) Ukrainiec, Deborah Lerner, Hazel Custer, Alta Rogers, Raymond (Rodica) Woods, Everett (Bonnie) Woods, Nancy (Harold) Beachy, Patricia (Ronnie) Mothersbaugh, Brenda (Nicholas) Triola, nieces, and nephews, stood as beacons of joy, carrying the torch of their legacy into the next generation.

Jacob and Rosalie were predeceased by their respective parents, Jacob and Savilla Ukrainiec, and Dennis and Dorothy Woods, along with their siblings Maryanne Murphy, Franklin Woods, Shelby Smith, Pamela Vaughn, Robert Woods and Jerry Woods. While these passages brought sorrow, they were met with the comforting knowledge that their love story would echo on through the lives they nurtured.

As we remember Jacob and Rosalie Ukrainiec, may we celebrate their remarkable journey together—a journey rich with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Their legacy will forever shine in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know them, reminding us all of the beauty of a life well-lived in the company of family and faith.

Visitation will be Friday May 16th from 10 AM to 12 noon at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron and funeral services begin promptly at 12 noon with Pastor Bob Stephens officiating. Final resting place is East Liberty Cemetery.
