Ronald L. Harper
Ronald L. Harper went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2015. He was born in Lore City, Ohio on October 17, 1928 to the late William and Bertie Harper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Geri; brothers, Eugene Harper, Bill Harper; sisters, Shirley Ann, Martha, Mary Margaret, and Marjorie; grandson, Tyler Harper.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Pam Hinkle; son, Randy Harper; grandchildren, Dennis Hinkle, Jimmy Hinkle, Ian Harper, Evan Harper; great-grandchildren, Brett Hinkle, Baylee Hinkle, Jack Hinkle, Jace Hinkle; and aunt, Annabelle Meadows.
Ronald opened Harpers Auto Parts in February 1965 and serviced the community with quality and reliable auto parts until his retirement in 1992. Ron enjoyed being with his family, wintering in Florida, and most of all serving God. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
We would like to invite you to spend a little time with us during Dad's celebration of life on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Visitation will also be held Friday from 10-11 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Rev. Joseph Serbin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Suffield Fire Department.
