Ronald A. Blair
Ronald A. Blair, 82, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2015. Ronnie always claimed his goal in life was to be the best husband and father possible and his family would agree that he succeeded.
Ronnie proudly served in the U.S. Army, worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber, and retired from Vance Precision Industries after over 35 years of service.
He was passionate about family, American history, aviation, cooking, and chocolate. He had a terrific sense of humor and was well known for his funny comments in any situation. He often told his family "Let's make the best of it" and he lived his life by that platitude.
Ronnie was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife, Sheridan "Sherry" Blair; his parents, Arthur and Mildred Blair; son, Ronald F. Blair; grandson, Ronald Bodis; brother, Arthur Blair; and sister, Lillian Coates.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Debie (Rich) Jimenez, Melanie Blair (Mike Fox), and Robert (Jaime) Blair; sister, Shirley Chuchu; grandchildren, Tiffany, Cassie, Natalie, and Faith; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Simone, and Aria; many other relatives and friends. Papa loved everyone and everyone loved Papa.
Family and friends may call on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation for one hour prior. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
