Roma Elaine Brow

Roma Elaine Brow, 90, of Stow, passed peacefully on Sunday January 7, 2018. Roma was born on June 5, 1927 in McPherson, KS to the late Rev. Dr. John R. and LuLu Mary Pennington. She was raised in Duluth, MN, and moved to Akron in her early twenties, where she married Donald Francis Brow and started a family together. She later moved to Phoenix, AZ with her husband and younger children. After the death of her husband, she returned to the Akron area where she remained for the rest of her life.

Roma worked in the personnel department for the City of Akron, and retired from the Summit County personnel department in 1992.

Roma was a devout Christian and a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist. In previous years, Roma served as the choir director and organist at Cuyahoga Falls Baptist. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, and active in the American Baptist Women Association.

Roma was also preceded in death by her brothers, Truman, Charles, and Earl; and her son-in-law, Dale Klettlinger.

Left to cherish Roma's memory are her children, Elaine (Bradley) Sisak, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Veverka, Richard (Carolyn) Brow, Mary Lou Klettlinger, and Ronald (Christine) Brow; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Faith Fellowship Baptist 4872 Darrow Rd., Stow, OH 44224 on Friday January 12 from 5:30pm-7:30pm, and again on Saturday from 10am-11am. A funeral ceremony will be officiated by Rev. Jill Smith at 11am on Saturday January 13 at Faith Fellowship Baptist. Inurnment alongside her husband will take place in Phoenix, AZ at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Roma's honor to Faith Fellowship Baptist.
