Rollin G. Dobbins

Rollin G. Dobbins, 86, of Akron passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015. He was born October 12, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late Ivan and Alma Dobbins.

Rollin a retired meat cutter from Giant Eagle and A & P after 40 plus years of service.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. Rollin attended Goodyear Heights United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Cheri Kohan.

Rollin is survived by his loving wife, Betty of 65 years; sons, Greg (Emmy), Dale, Keith all of Akron and Philip (Cheryl) of New Mexico; grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Shannon and Brianna; great grandchildren, Aiden and Jaxson; sister, Sandy Smith.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd Akron from 1pm to 3pm with funeral service to follow at 3pm. Private Entombment will be held at a later date in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Keep Akron Beautiful, 850 E. Market Akron, Ohio 44305 and Ellet Amateur Athletic Association, 2204 E. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44312.
