Roger Lee Nutter

Roger Lee Nutter, 76, of Akron, passed away on March 9, 2026. He was born in Philippi, WV on September 10, 1949 to the late Martha Nutter.

In addition to his mother, Roger was preceded in death by his 3 younger siblings and his beloved parental figures Leonard and Margie Andersen.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Janice; daughters, Denise (Jason) Goodson and Jennifer Billings; grandchildren Evan Pavlic, Miranda and Riley Billings, Hannah and Wyatt Goodson; beloved dog Peetey.

Roger was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was meticulous about his yard, especially his vegetable garden, and was also a talented woodworker. Roger used those talents to begin a career in home improvement and repairs, and operated his own business for over 30 years.

Per Roger's wishes, there will be no formal services. Well-deserved military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd.
