Roger L. Hess, 68, of Akron, passed away November 19, 2012. He was born in Panther, WV on September 11, 1944 to the late Henry and Gladys Hess. Roger loved to play cards, chess and playing horseshoes.
Roger is survived by his sister, Janet Wilcox; special cousin, Sandy Richards; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 27, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
