Roberta Steckler "Bede" Janke

Roberta S. "Bede" Janke, 89, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on May 5, 2026. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 13, 1937 to the late Armin and Martha {Rabenhorst} Steckler.

In addition to her parents, Bede was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas C. Janke in April of this year and her sister Ardene Getzel.

Bede is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie (Kevin) Curtis; son Tom (Patty Hartley) Janke; grandchildren Andrew Curtis, Ryan (Kaylee Lohr-Curtis) Curtis, Jax Curtis; great-grandchildren Kevin, Kourtney, Kennedy, Abraham and Iris; siblings Nancy Schwab, Armin Steckler and Thomas Steckler.

Bede loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing golf with Tom, jigsaw puzzles and playing Solitaire. Bede always kept a clean house, and would often share that skill with her family members! She always had an upbeat, positive demeanor, and a kind word for everyone.
