Robert T. "Rocky" Bell, known for his quiet strength and unwavering love for his family, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 1, 2026, at his home. Born on November 11, 1960, in Akron, Robert carried with him a deep connection to his roots throughout his life.
Rocky was a private man, one whose gentle demeanor masked a resilient and steadfast character. Those close to him never doubted the depth of his love and commitment to his family. Beyond his professional life, Robert found great joy in his passion for fishing—a favorite pastime that brought him peace and happiness.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Wallace; son, Shawn Bell; his brothers Billy Wingard and Rusty Bell; his sister Tina Sentelik; sister-in-law Phyllis (Eric Milhoan) Johnston. Robert also leaves behind several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends that he thought of as family, especially his fishing buddies.
Rocky was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Johnston, whom he joined in Heaven; his mother, Janet {Vaugnn} Wingard; and his father, Frank T. Bell.
Robert T. "Rocky" Bell’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Rocky's life will be planned for a later date, near one of his favorite fishing spots. To leave a special message for Rocky's family, please visit the guest book below.
