Robert Steven "Bob" Hughes

Robert "Bob" Steven Hughes, 70, joined his father, Bob, and beloved sister, Kitty, in Heaven on July 6, 2026. A lifelong resident of Akron, Bob was born on May 22, 1956 to Darlene {Jenkins} Hughes and the late Robert M. Hughes. In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen "Kitty" Narney.

Bob spent most of his life as a sheet metal worker and had a deep passion for scouting. He served many years as a Boy Scout and Venturing America troop leader and devoted many summers to enriching the lives of youth through Camp Manatoc and Camp Butler. Throughout his life, Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and camping.

Bob is survived by his loving daughters, Michelle (Jim) Houston and Megan Hughes; granddaughter Emma Johnston; mother Darlene M. Hughes; and dear friend and former spouse Darlene D. Hughes. He will be lovingly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, and nephew.
