Robert William Shambach "Shammy", 69, passed away February 15, 2026. Born on September 27, 1956, in Akron, Ohio. Bob dedicated three decades of service to the United States Postal Service, beginning his career in 1994. Through his work, he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of colleagues alike with his dependability and strong work ethic.
Bob was truly the life of the party. A man whose laughter filled every room and whose presence made gatherings brighter. Kind, generous, and endlessly dependable, he never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved adventure and was always ready for whatever Stacei and Sonja threw at him next, embracing life with enthusiasm and an open heart.
Above all, Bob loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Shambach; his stepdaughters, Stacei (Dillon) Headrick and Sonja Chapin (Matthew Heffelfinger); grandchildren, Bretton, Brooks, Brock, Blake, Carol-Jayne, and Bryce; as well as the many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched. He was a steady presence, a source of strength, and a man who showed up — always.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Charles Shambach and Beatrice Forbes and siblings Laura (Pat) Pickle and Michael and other cherished family members.
Bob will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered for the joy, warmth, and kindness he brought into the world.
