Robert P. Vicen, 69 , passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer on Friday, August 12, 2016. Bob was born on February 8,1947 in, Bellaire, OH to Cecil and Irene Vicen. He was an avid golfer. Bob retired from Goodyear after 30 years of dedicated service. He was an active member of the Akron Turner Club. Bob served his country in the U. S. Navy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Irene Vicen.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Peggy; children, Robert C., Allen (Kimberly) , Michele (Derick) Kasburg ; sister, Patty Wilson; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 nieces, 3 nephews and a host of family and friends who will miss Bob dearly.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at Randolph Hillside Cemetery.
