Robert George Kalain, "Frog", age 62 of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his home.
He was born on September 13, 1955 in Akron, the son of the late George and Geraldine (nee Gilbert) Kalain.
Frog was a retired auto parts clerk for Rubber City Auto Parts and lastly, Federated Auto Parts. He liked tinkering with cars, and collect everything. He had a collection of old auto signs which he loved.
Survivors include his two sons, Nicholas (James Bush) Kalain of Massillon, and Mathew (Amanda) Kalain of Akron; his grandson, Maddox; his step-grandchildren, Aubrey and Jada; and his three siblings, Rudy (Vickie) Kalain, Janice Kalain, and Frank Kalain, who also survive.
Per Frog's request, he will be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life Service held at The Chapparells Hall, 2418 Arlington Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44308, in Robert's memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
