Robert Joseph Downey, Sr., age 26, of Akron, Ohio, died on August 16, 2016.
He was born on July 17, 1990 the son of Robert W. Downey of Akron and the late Denise L. Morgan.
Robert enjoyed hanging out with friends and family.
Other than his father, survivors include his son, Robert Joseph Downey, Jr.; his siblings, Danielle and Jeremy Downey, Michael Mellinger, III, and Nickolas Millward; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially Tessa Myers.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Downey, Connie Phillips, Larry and Linda Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, at 7 PM, Monday, August 22, 2016, where family and friends may visit from 5 PM until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
