Robert "Bob" F. Rowe Sr.

Robert Rowe, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, left this world on October 8, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 25, 1936, in Grafton, WV, Robert's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love. Robert was a man who truly understood the value of a mile. He spent 32 years as a professional truck driver for CW Transport in Akron, Ohio, where he was renowned for his exceptional service and dedication. His proudest achievement was driving over 1 million miles safely, a testament to his unwavering commitment to his craft. Beyond his career, Robert was a man of many interests. He cherished his time spent exploring the open road in his RV, a pursuit that combined his love for travel and automobiles. A passionate NASCAR enthusiast, he could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers, sharing the excitement with friends and family. Robert's life was enriched by his involvement with the Freemasonry Fraternal Order, where he was a long-standing member. His dedication to the organization reflected his strong values and commitment to community service.

At the heart of Robert's life was his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Opal Rowe, and siblings Charles, Emma Jean, Betty, and Rick.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 68 years, Dixie (Cirillo), who was his partner in all of life's adventures. Together, they raised three sons: Robert (Kathy), Mark, and Frank (Korrine). Robert was a proud grandfather to Daniel, Tara, Joshua, Carla, Arianna, and Alden, and a cherished great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ron. Robert's love and generosity were felt not only by his family but also by his friends and neighbors. He was a man who always had a smile to share and a helping hand to offer, touching the lives of all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305) where a celebration of Robert's life will take place at 1:00PM.

Interment will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Robert's honor. Robert Rowe will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
