Robert "Bob" Marks

Robert C "Bob" Marks, 70, of Hartville, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Robert was born in Melbourne, Australia on March 1, 1944. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967. Robert retired from Aircraft Braking after 40 years of service. He was very active with United Auto Workers Union Local 856. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, motorcycles, boating and spending time with family and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his, infant son, Charles and father, Charles. He is survived by spouse, Joyce Marks of 48 years; mother, June Marks; daughter, Nicole (Christopher) McCartney; brother, George (Ava) Marks; sisters, Irene (Dennis) Alber, and Paula (Keith) Moore; granddaughter, Alayna Marks and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on, Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, and on Monday October 27 from 10 to 11am with funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Summa Hospice.
