Robert Allen Olds

Robert Allen Olds, 78, went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2016. Robert served the Lord all his life and was a member of the Pentecostal movement. He loved to restore antique automobiles. He proudly served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and retired from Schwebel's Bakery.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sally; parents, Carl and Catherine; brothers, Dave, Tom, and Sam.
Survivors include his precious son, Todd; sister, Janet; brother, Dan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert always said, "We're one day closer to being with Jesus", and for Robert that day is now.
Calling hours will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 11-1 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, followed by a 1:00 p.m. memorial service with Pastor Matthew Skifstad of Victory Life Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
