Rita Mae McCort Mariola
The Sacred Heart peacefully called Rita home on Monday, November 23, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 10, 1929 in Akron, OH where she lived until moving to Tallmadge in 1973. She is being reunited in Heaven with her mother, father, five sisters and four brothers. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas J. Mariola. She is also survived by her beloved daughters, Diane Galati, Denise Ingellis and Beth Anne Mariola; her grandchildren, Michael Galati, Jill (Lou) Tan, Daniel Galati, and Thomas Ingellis; and son in-law, Tony Galati.
In addition, she leaves behind brothers in-law, sisters in-law, and many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. Per Rita's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. It was her wish to celebrate her life with laughter, not tears. The family requests that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers and welcomes calls, cards and visits. The family would also like to recognize and thank Dr. Rex Wilford for all of his loving care and support.
A memorial mass will be held in her honor and published at a later date. Donations can be made in Rita's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
