Rita M. Bronstrup, 84, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2016. She was born in Akron, OH on May 20, 1932. Rita loved children, animals, art, dancing and swimming. She has an extensive doll collection and performed magic on stage, many years with her husband as "Dr. B and Rita."
Rita was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Bronstrup; parents, and sister. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles; son, C.J.; grandson, Drew; and long-time friends, Polly and John Cain, and Sherri Long.
Family will welcome guests on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Rita's name to Senior Independence Hospice, 1815 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44313.
