Richard A. Vincent

Richard A. Vincent, 71, of Akron, passed away on October 26, 2026. He was born on November 21, 1954 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Donald and Louise Vincent.

Ric grew up in Loudonville, graduating from Loudonville High School in 1973 before moving to the Akron area where he attended Hammel Business College.

While working at Case Farms in Akron, Ric was introduced to Vicky Lute through a mutual friend. They fell in love and married on September 9, 1989, embarking on a wonderful 37 year partnership.

Ric concluded his career at Sterling Jewelers (now Signet) after over 20 years of service.

In his free time, Ric enjoyed cooking, jigsaw and 3-D puzzles, and drawing. He also loved fixing up the home he shared with Vicky and was always involved in a renovation project.

Family was very important to Ric. Both he and Vicky were from large families and they prioritized regular gatherings and celebrations. Some of Ric's fondest memories were the Carolina vacations with his siblings and the day after Thanksgiving "Fry Day" with Vicky's family.

Ric will be forever loved and missed by his wide circle of family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ric was preceded in death by his sister, Linda; parents-in-law, Robert and Barbara; brother-in-law, Mike; and niece, Melissa.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vicky; siblings, Tim, Don (Marie), Jeff (Reggie), Debbie (Ted), Kathi, and Judy; sister-in-law, Cathy; and brother-in-law, Bob (Norma).

Ric loved being an uncle to his numerous special nieces, nephews, and their families.

He also leaves many dear friends, including Karen Musick, who introduced him to Vicky all those years ago.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, immediately followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service with Pastor Jeremy Music officiating at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305.
