Richard "Rick" Vatalaro

Richard David Vatalaro, 77, of Tallmadge, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026 at his home.

He was born on November 10, 1948 to Richard and Billie (Kilgore) Vatalaro in Akron, OH.

Richard known as Vat, worked as a Tradesman in the HVAC Industry.

In 2013 , Rick married Linda Vatalaro (Gentile). Rick and Linda lived in Tallmadge, Ohio.

He was a active member of the Akron Turner Club, where he was President for 10 years. Rick was a member of St. Matthews Church where served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Rick is survived by his loving Wife, Linda; children, Melissa (Kevin) Mosley, Alicia (Bill) Pope, Jaclyn (Ryan) Kagey, Ryan (Heidi) Jett, and Scott (Chelsea) Jett; grandchildren, Shawn, Haley, Jordan, Mia, Lucas, Delaney, Rory, and Connor; four great grandchildren; siblings, Sheri, Ron, Keri, Rusty; and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Billie Vatalaro; and brother, Randy .

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm at the Akron Turner Club, 547 Munroe Falls Rd. Tallmadge, OH 44278.
