Richard V. Pallotta, Sr., passed away July 25, 2025, surrounded by family and friends in the comfort of his own home. Rich was born July 2, 1948, and raised in the North Hill neighborhood of Akron, Ohio, and was a graduate of North High School class of 1966. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served as a SeaBee stationed in Alameda, California. Rich was a Warehouse Manager at Myers Industries for 40 years until his retirement in 2013.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Palmerino & Marie Pallotta, in-laws, Dominic & Carrie DiGiulio, and brother-in-law, Gary DiGiulio.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Tami (DiGiulio) Pallotta and eight children: Sonya Rarey, Laura Pallotta, Rich (Amy) Pallotta Jr., Jake (Lilly) Pallotta, Nick (Sally) Zeno, Danielle (Joe) Laria, Kristen (Brandon) Caipen, and Mike (Jennifer) Zeno. Grandchildren; Charles Rarey, Alexa (Ryan) Satterfield, Spencer Pallotta, Vince Pallotta, Ella Pallotta, Jackson Zeno, Dallas Laria, William Caipen, Natalia Laria, Graham Caipen, Lucas Zeno, and Rosalie Caipen.Siblings; Joe (Donna) Pallotta, Mike (Judy) Pallotta, Paula (David) Nolt, Carolyn (Rich) Leonard, Cynthy DiGiulio, Tony DiGiulio, and Debbie Geary. As well as the numerous nieces and nephews whom Rich thought of as his own children.
Rich was a member of Bethel Church of Tallmadge where he volunteered in various areas of ministry. One of Rich's greatest passions was working at the family bakery. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling with the church leagues and vacationing with family and friends.
Rich was a father to many, a friend to everyone, and a voice of encouragement to all.
Philippians 3:14 "I keep running hard towards the finish line to get the prize that is mine because God has called me through Christ Jesus to life up there in Heaven."
2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept the Faith."
Calling hours will be at Newcomer Funeral Home on Monday August 4th from 4:00-7:00 PM, with a memorial service taking place at 7:00 PM with Pastor Phil Anderson officiating. A private burial service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville with immediate family only.
