Richard Mahlon English

Richard Mahlon English, 77, of Akron, passed away on September 18, 2016. He was born in Akron on October 22, 1938 to the late Mahlon and Helen English. Richard proudly served in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed with Lehner Screw Machine Company for over 20 years and retired in 2004 from Karg Corporation in Tallmadge. For many years, Richard owned his own video/photography business. He was always behind the camera at family events.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Dave English; grandson, Christopher Richard Triola, and great-granddaughter, Olivia Austin. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy; daughter, Robyn (Paul) Triola (nee English); son, Rich (Joanne) English; brother, Robin (Dawn) English; sister-in-law, Margie English; grandchildren, Amanda (Jordan) Austin, Rebecca (Daniel) Bashlor, David English, Anthony Triola, and Vincent Triola; great-grandsons, Grayson Bashlor, and Maddox Bashlor, who is on the way.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Richard will be privately laid to rest at Grandview Memorial Park at a later date.
