Richard L. Keyes
Richard L. Keyes, 77, of New Franklin, passed away January 12, 2015. He was born in Painesville, Ohio on July 9, 1937 to the late Robert and Grace Keyes. Richard was a longtime member of Arlington Church of the Nazarene. He was active in many organizations, including the Forest City Yacht Club, Gooedyear Boat and Yacht Club, Ravenna Flyers, South Cuyahoga Sportsman Club, and the Rubber City Kennel Club.
Richard will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Helen Wanzie (Keyes); children, Vicki Wilson of Worcester, MA and Richard Keyes Jr. of New Franklin; stepchildren, David (Karen) Wanzie, Daniel (Cathy) Wanzie, Debra (Richard) Rhodes, and Diane (Donald) Ralston; brother, Ricky (Kim) Keyes; 19 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Visitation will be Monday, January 19, 2015 from 10-11 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Darrell Frazier officiating at Arlington Church of the Nazarene, 1057 Triplett Blvd, Akron. Interment at Fairmount Memorial Park in Alliance. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arlington Church of the Nazarene.
