Richard L. Henderson, born October 27, 1933, passed away March 16, 2022.
I am proud of all my accomplishments, my military service, my time with the fire department, and my time volunteering with the USO. Above all, I am proud of my children.
I am disappointed in my failures.
To all my friends, thank you. To my enemies, I'm sorry. I'll be waiting on the far side of the bank of Jordan - waiting and drawing pictures in the sand and when I see you coming, I will "RISE UP" with a shout and then go running through the shallow water, reaching for your hand.
I am now joined with my parents, Wallace and Elizabeth Henderson; my baby brother and sister, Billy and Virginia; grandson, Michael; and great-grandson, Dylan.
I look forward to the day when I am reunited with my sons, Rev. Terry Henderson (Maria) and Richard "Rick" Henderson Jr.; sister, Kay Wharton; grandchildren, Patrick, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Moriah, Ashley, Richard, Daniel, Amanda, and Brandy; numerous great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Falls Creek Community Church, 149 N. Moreland Ave., Munroe Falls, OH 44262. No flowers, please. Please consider a donation to the Haven of Rest or the USO.
