Richard F. Gingo, age 81, of Mogadore, Ohio, passed away on Friday October 24, 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Akron on July 17, 1944 to the late Frank and Jessie Gingo.
A hardworking man, Rich spent many years as a skilled machinist before fulfilling his dream of owning and operating a successful machine shop with his partners Butch Bell and Gene Elliott. His work ethic was unmatched, and he took great pride in his craft-always striving for precision, excellence, and integrity. He was a neighbor you could count on and a loyal friend who loved spending time with his buddies sharing stories, laughing and playing a round of golf. Rich lived a life marked by integrity, hard work, and compassion. Whether he was fixing something around the house, mowing his grass, offering sound advice, or simply being there with open arms, he embodied the kind of love that leaves a lasting legacy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruthie. They truly found happiness and love in each other. Together, they shared a lifetime of joy, laughter, and adventure. Whether traveling with friends or discovering new restaurants for dinner dates, they embraced life side by side, savoring every moment. To his daughters, Michelle (Paul) Taylor, Jodi (Greg) Koly and Stacey (Cory) Ryan, he was more than a parent he was their hero, their protector, their Superman. With unwavering love and strength, he lifted them through life's challenges. His presence was a source of comfort, his laughter a melody of joy, and his wisdom a guiding light. And to his 6 grandchildren Taylor (Cody), Whitney (Silas), Liam (Catey), McKenna (Austin), Nathan and Jacob and 4 great-grandchildren he will always be remembered and dear to their hearts.
To his brother Ray (Crystal) Gingo and sister Sandy Garbinsky (Ted Carey) he will always be at the forefront of their memories.
There are no formal services scheduled. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched with love, laughter, and the quiet strength of a life well lived.
