Richard E. "Dick" Brown

Richard E. "Dick" Brown, 88, passed away peacefully September 3, 2025 with family by his side. He resided in Portage Lakes all of his adult life. Dick, a living legend in his own mind, was the owner/operator of Young's Restaurant for many years. He also enjoyed frequent scuba diving trips to Florida and spending time with family and friends around the lakes.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Karen "Kitty" Brown; sons, Shawn Brown, Todd Brown; parents, Bill Brown and Mary Noble. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Eric, Danielle, Kevin; great granddaughter, Gwendolyn.

Everyone is invited to a graveside service Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd., Akron. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Dick's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
