Richard Eugene Clegg passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a man of profound kindness, unwavering integrity, and a trusted friend to everyone fortunate enough to know him. To know him was to respect him, and he was deeply loved by all who crossed his path.

For 58 beautiful years, Rick was the devoted and loving husband to his wife, Brenda. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and a strong faith in God. A man of deep devotion, he served his community and his Lord faithfully as a deacon at Tonapah Baptist Church. He spent his career at PPG, where he eventually retired after years of hard work and dedication. Outside of work and church, Rick was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, found great peace tending to his garden, and shared a passion for collecting antiques.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Don and Alma Clegg; his sister, Jeanie Sheaters; his brother, Gary Clegg; his sister, Patsy Clegg; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Clegg.

His legacy of love lives on through his surviving family: his cherished wife of 58 years, Brenda; his brothers, Terry (Becky) Clegg, Bill Clegg, and Tim (Nancy) Clegg; his brother-in-law, Ron Sheaters; and his children, Ricky Clegg, Tammy (Mark) Vaught, Don (Jenne) Clegg, and David Clegg. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kenny (Sarah), Matt, DJ (Hailey), Cody (Steffie), Tara (Justin) Eldred, and Brandon Leffel; his eight adored great-grandchildren; his dearest friends, Anthony and Roasa Kenny, whose friendship he treasured deeply; as well as a large and loving circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He will be missed beyond measure, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him. "Well done, good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy lord." (Matthew 25:21)
