Richard C. Thomas, 53, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2012. He was born on March 5, 1958 to Clarence and VanHelen. He served our country as a sergeant in the US Army and will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. He enjoyed the outdoors and most of all grilling with his family. Richard is survived by his fiancé, Arlene Jobe; children, Jenny, Ric, Rachel, Jeff and Curty; grandchildren, Shealyn, Amyah, Kyah, Bryce and Chase; brother, David (Sheila) of Spencer, WV.
Family and friends may call on February 8 from 10:30 – 12:30 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held at 12:30 with Pastor Mike Shaub officiating.
