Richard Joseph Brumbelow

Richard "Joe" Brumbelow, 88, a loving and dedicated husband and father, passed away on May 31, 2025. He was born on November 1, 1936 the only child of the late Alfred "Richard" and Oma Brumbelow of Kokomo , IN. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Joe worked as a Sales Engineer at Allen Bradley for 30 years where he met his loving wife, of 60 years, Carol. He then retired from T.D.K. after 20 years of dedicated service. He was a 4th Degree member of The Knights of Columbus.

Joe loved the outdoors, especially camping, walking or exercising. He also enjoyed sail boating on Gloucester Bay in Massachusetts with family and friends.

He had a passion for electronics, woodworking and enjoyed working on cars. He was well known as a "Jack of All Trades" and could fix anything broken. He was a man of faith and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol.

Joe is survived by his loving family his sons Michael (Michelle), Allen, and Stephen (Mary); his grandchildren Jonah, Jacob, Brittany (John Casto), Hanna (Anthony Cavallaro), Abbey "Mac", and Kyle;and his great-grandchildren Jacob, Anna, Vincent, Leah, Eva, and Dominic Casto; brother-in-laws Robert Friedman and Joe (Jo Anne) Wollman; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be deeply missed, but his love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joe's life at a Mass to be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, located at 2580 Berne Street, Akron, OH 44312, on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at 10:00 AM. with Fr. Mike as celebrant.

Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Mogadore.
