Rex A. McWilliams

Rex A. McWilliams, 72, of Akron, passed away on March 25, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1953 the son of his late beloved mother, Martha McWilliams. He was a resident of Community Habilitation Services Inc., since 1987. Rex was loved by all who knew him. He never failed to brighten up a room with his infectious laugh, smile and sense of humor. He attended Weaver School. Rex enjoyed watching cartoons on Saturday mornings and always enjoyed the cooking shows, especially Rachael Ray. He looked forward to watching Cleveland and Ohio State Sports and proudly wore his teams jerseys or sweatshirts and cheering them on.

Rex is survived by his loving cousin Ruth (John) Underwood; and many other beloved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10th, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where memorial services will be held at 1:00pm
