Renee S. Long, age 60, of Stow, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 4, 2025. She was born on September 27, 1965 to Wayne and Gloria (Hensler) Thompson in Valley Forge, PA.

Renee worked as a certified medical assistant and office manager at Unity Health Network in Stow.

She was a member of Stow Falls Baptist Church.

Renee is survived by her loving sons, Perry and Billy Long; mother, Gloria (Tim) Wilkes; sisters, Shirley (Rick) and Dodie; nieces, Crystal, Starre, Angie (Larry), Stephanie (Derek), Missy (Ben) and Renee (Stu); as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Long; father, Wayne Thompson; and sister, Vicki Smith.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305) on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 2pm until 4pm. Her funeral service will begin at 4pm with Pastor Tim Huth officiating.

She will then be laid to rest with her husband at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
