In Loving Memory of Rebecca “Becky” Kovalchik
Rebecca Kovalchik, 71, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on May 7th, 2025. Born on September 13th, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, Rebecca lived a life marked by love, kindness, and quiet strength.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, William D. Kovalchik, and a proud and loving mother to their son, Bill R. Kovalchik. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into caring for them every single day.
Rebecca had a deep appreciation for the simple beauty of life. She loved spending time outdoors—gardening, cooking, and caring for the wild animals that often found refuge in her yard. Her home was a place of peace, warmth, and welcome, not just for people, but for all of God’s creatures.
She was a faithful member of The Chapel in Green, where her generous spirit and compassion touched many lives. Rebecca was a loyal friend to many and never hesitated to offer help to those in need. Her kindness and unwavering support left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Rebecca’s memory will be forever cherished by her husband, William; her son, Bill; her brother, Willbert “Buck” Ryan; and her sisters, Shirley Pogorzelski and Alberta Ryan. Her legacy of love, grace, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
