Rebecca Hart

Rebecca Sue Hart, 69, of Akron, passed away on June 27, 2026 peacefully at home.

She was born on July 24, 1956 to Herbert and Hilda (Thornton) Phillips in Ravenna, OH.

Rebecca worked as a Hospice Coordinator for Arcadia and Guardian Angel.

Upon passing, Rebecca was reunited with her husband, Rusty Hart.

She was a longtime member of the Akron Bible Church. Rebecca was involved with the motorcycle ministry of the church, The Kingdom Knights. She was involved in AA for 35 years, she fought hard to stay clean and sober. She was also involved in various other ministries as well.

Rebecca was very involved with her grandchildren, and all of their activities. She was also a personal Uber for both of them.

Rebecca is survived by her loving daughter, Jessica (Baughman) Johnson; son, Jason Baughman; adopted children, Heather (Tim) Holden and AJ (Whitney) Ficarro; grandchildren, Zachary (Anna) Edgington, Gabriella Wright, and JJ Baughman; great-grandchildren, Avery and Baby on the way; sister, Linda (Paul) Warnock; nephew, Daniel (Lindsey) Biltz; and many adopted nieces, nephews, family, her best friend, and other loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rusty Hart; parents, Hilda Bowman and Herbert Phillips; and nephews, Derek and Dillon Krzystan.
