Raymond Miller

Raymond R. Miller, 90, of Akron, passed away comfortably at home on Saturday May 12, 2018. A Navy veteran of both WWII and the Korean War, Ray loved the Lord, his family, his church, and watching golf on the television. Before retirement, Ray worked in the transportation industry, serving as dispatcher and manager in various terminals in Akron, Cincinnati, Toledo, and Wooster. After retirement, Ray enjoyed working for Ganley Toyota Akron, as a driver while developing garage door synchronization services for Ganley's clients. Ray served his church, Crossroads Bible Fellowship as a deacon.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Lois A. Miller; and parents, Harry and Dorothy Miller.

Ray will be deeply missed by his sons, Steven (Cynthia) Miller, and Doug Miller; granddaughter, Julie (Jonathan) Kiehl; brother, Dick (Eleanor), and sister, Shirley.

The Miller family would like to thank Krysten, Chelita, and Bobbi for the excellent and loving care that they provided to Ray and Lois during their last two months.

Ray and Lois shared 70+ years of marriage together, and they departed within two days of one another. Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, on Thursday May 17, 2018 to a visitation for both Ray and Lois from 11am to 1pm, with a funeral ceremony to take place at 1pm. Interment will be private.
